WASP Havalon Broadhead Issues

I was stoked when WASP teamed up with Havalon to make a 3-blade broadhead. Bought some brand new, shot them into a foam Morrell target and I had 3 blades break inside the target...

They do include a bunch of replacement blades but I was very turned off by a broadhead that snaps blades off in a foam target. Needless to say, I bought Kudupoints that day and haven't looked back.

Just wanted to see if anyone else had similar outcomes? Do Havalon knife blades have issue, too?

My havalon knife does break blades. But they are heavier duty than small scalpel blades I’m used to (taxidermy hobby). No experience with the broadhead but sounds like I wouldn’t use them either

Yes, Havalon knife blades are very easy to break if you twist or pry with them at all. Not sure that is apples to apples, though. They are a thin, brittle, ridiculously sharp blade. Within their intended use, they are great.

I've not used the Wasp Havalon, but have used the Boss and Drone quite a bit. No complaints on blade breakage in practice or on animals.

Lusk did a test with the Havalon and it held up well for him.

The blades are extremely sharp but just so thin and brittle, I feel like you would need to make a super clean shot on an elk in order to get good penetration
