Washing meat hauler

Drop the game bag containing the deboned meat into a clear plastic food grade bags - but ONLY for the pack out. Saves backpack from getting bloody, keeps everything clean. (Some will complain that meat in plastic is not good - and that's true. But it is only for the trip out, a couple of hours at most. Hang the meat in game bags until it is ready to be packed out, then drop it into the clear plastic bag. Upon arriving at vehicle, remove game bag from plastic bag and put into ice-filled cooler. Repeat for each quarter.)

If your pack gets bloody, wash it with dish soap.

Hose off the bag/frame and use a big cooler with water to soak the bags if real dirty.

People have suggested the bathtub but my wife would kill me if I did that.

I got a roll of compostable, non-perfumed "compost" bags from Amazon. I field-dress into game bags and those get hung in the shade or etc as usual. While packing out, the compost bag becomes a liner for my backpack, then I take it off when packing the meat into my cooler. The meat is only there for a few hours at most - it doesn't hurt the meat at all. The bags also make great drop cloths to lay quarters and supplies on while I'm field dressing.

Since I started doing this I've never felt the need to wash my pack with anything other than a quick spritz to get off any dust before I store it. If you have any existing stains, Carbona Stain Devils #4 (for blood) is amazing.
