Warf Bows - Any Cons?

Like the title says, are there any cons to building a warf bow? I like the concept. Seems pretty neat. I'll be in the market for a "better" bow in the near future as I am about ready to move away from my budget bow.

I was looking at a Hoyt Satori or one of the DAS bows, but it seems like a warf bow can accomplish basically the same thing.
- ILF limbs
- Metal riser
- Good looks

Main thing I wanted to know is are there any big cons to a warf over other factory options? Are the plates prone to failure? Any issues unique to these that factory ILF bows/DAS bows don't have?

Can you expand on that some? I was looking at a list of older bows that are popular to warf so I am assuming it wont be an issue, but would like to expand my own understanding.

Yeah, if you can find a list of bows that have been converted before you should be good. TradTalk likely has some good references in their archives. The only true Warf I had was a Hoyt Buck, which was an old TD3 riser.

Gotcha. The place I am looking at order the ILF plate from has a list of about 30-40 bows that it is compatible with. When you talk about riser geometry, are you referring to making sure the ILF plate can fit the riser?

That, but more importantly the reflex/deflex of the riser and the angle of the limb pocket.

For an extreme example, think about of you put recurve limbs on a Hoyt Ultratech. Simply would not work because the limb pad angles would make the limbs point almost backwards.

Had to look up a picture of the Ultratech but that makes a lot of sense! Thanks!
