Which model of Montana is it that only weighs roughly 6 lbs? The lightest one I could find weighs 7.5-7.75 lbs.

There is one of mine. Actually took another oz off of that weight since I took this pic. But 4 pounds 13 oz with QD scope mounts, a front sight, and a peep isn't too shabby. I believe its 4 pound 10 or 11 oz naked.
QD mounts/Rings aren't light and the barrel band front sight is also adding some weight. I believe if I want back to simple talleys I would be down below 5 pounds 8 oz scoped again, but I don't honestly see using a scope on this gun anymore when I have a Kimber Montana in 338-06 that is 4 pounds 14 oz naked....just 4 oz more and a lot more HAMMER than my .308. So the .308 is resigned as a back up gun and might be getting a rebore in the new future.

You definitely got me beat Luke, that is one super light weight set up you got there.
Here's my .300wsm w/LW Talley's and Swaro Z6 2.5-15X44 HD![]()

A basic Montana here is nearly 3kI am not sure you can call twice the price including suppressor not that much more than a Kimber at least here. They must really screw you NZ folks over for them.

Inletting sucks and mine look like they had termites. Small sample of four. Never met anyone that preferred them over McMillan.
But dats just me....
