Wanted: lightweight 3-18x scope

Can I ask why your recommendation of research? You don’t believe the VX6 is a good scope? Reviews seem positive.

Along these lines OP, just about anyone can learn a lot by running a search on here about properly mounting a scope. There are a couple of threads with an absolute ton of good info, that doesn't often come up elsewhere, especially in such detail. More often than not, a gun not holding zero is due to mounting errors of one kind or another, especially if the scope is known to be a rugged model.

To the OP, I really don't have a scope to suggest to you, but be aware that there might be scammers that are going to PM you and say "Hey my buddy has just what you're looking for". It's a well used scam and they will try to get you to send them money. Happens all the time especially on the "Want to Buy" ads. Good Luck on your search.

Yeah, like his buddy might ‘just happen to have’ a 3-18 VX6 for sale; you send him money, and his buddy sends you a Leupold.

And that’s the best case scenario.

Not sure what you are trying to say, but OK whatever. It could be a legitimate sale/offer.
Sorry, being a bit sarcastic. It doesn’t always come through in media; or in real life for that matter…

Just saying that the OP might send someone money and then actually end up with a leupold, like it was a bad thing.

To add something more constructive to the thread; I’ve heard of guys selling ‘problem child’ scopes that they had previously sent in for repair, without disclosing the issues. Something else to worry about with used optics.
