Are you sure you're using an actual FL resize die, and not a body die?

Generally standard dies will set way more neck tension than less.

david tubb is a hi power shooter. i doubt he ever shot a benchrest match. for sure i have never seen his name on a competitor list.

i second the redding die mentioned above. i would probably pull them and size them with out ever dumping the powder out. i would use a bushing a size smaller and reseat the bullets.

if you used a lee with an expander that pulled back out through the neck, could the expander be too large? could it be ground down some.

more questions come up.

if you have a fl die

one way this can happen is if you have bushing dies and have too large of a bushing
or the necks were turned thin -if not they are the thinnest factory necks around
or if the expander is too large. can you mike it?

I actually did a full resize because some of the rounds were getting tight to chamber. I am wondering what I did wrong with the full length die that my bullets were loose. Never had that issue when I neck resized.
My guess, you didn’t have the die set low enough to fully resize the case and the neck just started to get resized but not fully. I bet if you screw that die in another turn or so you’ll not have this problem.

take out the decapping pin for the FL sizer die. When you set the die make sure to fullly resize the shoulders and necks by lowering the die by a half turn down.
