Wall Tent Accessories and Organization

Just bought a 14x16 wall tent with porch and I'm curious what accessories to buy and what makes staying in one more comfortable and organized? Going to use it for family camping and some western hunts.

Totes under the cots the soft over the door shoe/clothes organizers. I picked up a Davis tent pocket storage thing I’m excited to try

if no floor get one. I use a camper rug that is long and wide enough to go under tent and make a front porch rug also.

I use two 12x16 tarps overlapped for a floor, and an outdoor carpet outside the door with my 14x16. I have a 6ft table inside the tent with a 2-burner Coleman stove, and another under the awning with a Weber Q grill. I also have a tank top 2-burner propane heater, on top of a 40lb tank. And of course a good lantern. That's about all I need for accessories.

A wood stove and water container that mounts to the side of it for on demand hot water. It not only provides warmth but you can do all your cooking on it. In extreme cold weather, I place a small battery operated fan behind it to circulate warm air better through the tent.

Folding tables, cabelas makes a cot organizer that is nice. Totes that fit under cots, string lights

I also saw that Four Dogs doesn't make a water jacket anymore to go with their stove? Any thoughts on that?

Nothing like a fire burning at night but the convenience of a diesel heater would definitely win out when taking the wife

Best thing to do is go and use it once or twice. You and your family will quickly figure out what you need.

We keep things simple. Some hanging lights, a floor and a table for cooking. We went with the largest wood stove they offered, that way we only have to feed it once while sleeping. We just added a rain tarp with an awning so we can place the cooking station outside if we want.

We sleep on cots with an air mattress on top. That is a game changer.

I have a four dogs stove in a 12x14. The stove is exceptional. I see no need for a water jacket because the stove can heat up water quickly. As far as lights I use string lights from Costco and then use a little ryobi or dewalt 110v inverter for the lights. Just recharge the batteries in the truck.

I definitely recommend using a camping carpet of some sort under the cots for a floor. Also use those shoe organizers for over a door on the walls for little things such as gloves, socks, beanies, whatever.

I built a little plywood box to haul my internal frame conduit pieces in. You can pull the hinge pins and tie-wire the box halves on either side of the tent frame as a shelf. some paracord to stretch between the rafters to hang clothes/saddle blankets on to dry overnight. The last freaking thing I want in a wall tent camp is a floor. I reckon I'm to uncivilized and lazy to want to clean floors of pine needles/mud/snow when I can just walk in, in muddy/snowy boots without having to take them off or mop/sweep floors. A carpet scrap next to the cot to stand on, is plenty. And if the scrap gets wet, just stand it up to dry in front of the stove....
