Walking Stick with knife inside.

I made this walking stick after I was confronted by an aggressive coyote.

I was out hiking a mile and a half from my house when I heard a coyote barking at my dog. I thought that when I showed myself he would take off. No way, he came to within about thirty yards and continued to bark. He was all bristled up and acting weird.

I started back to the house and he followed me, staying the 30 yds off, for about 3/4 mile barking all the way.

I went home and got a rifle and went back. He was gone when I got there. About then my dog scared up a rabbit and yipped after him. The coyote heard the yipping and here he comes.

He came to within 20yds. and stopped. I stood out in full view and he just stood there. I pulled up my rifle and shot him.

A question-- How do you post videos on you tube that are clear?

Maybe he was rabid.

I wish the coyotes around my place were that stupid. I'd have new carpet.

They are pretty aggressive here in the state park where i hike and run the trails in Ca...but not on the big ranches we sometimes hunt them- they are wiley.

Careful that sheath doesn't slip off and cut your hand wide open.....cool idea though

It locks on. The sheath can't come off until you pull the pin. The pin is spring loaded.
