I don't even go to arfcom any more because of stuff like this. I got a phone call, I blacked out, lost all track of time and space and ended up with 2 new rifles. So I had to spread the disease to you guys.

Also, FYI a guy found a Wal-Mart shipment slip in his Ruger box. WM paid $313 for the rifles according to the slip. A profit of -$114.

No Ruger rebates that I know of. Just Marlin/Remington rebates, which is what got the Marlin down to $249.

Thanks for the heads up! I called every walmart with 1 hours drive looking for a 243. Nothing! Decided to drive to check for myself to one that is 15 mins away and their gun inventory system was down. The nice girl went to the back and searched and found me the 243 I was looking for. $210 out the door.

The one I looked at was a good price, but not "on sale". It was listed for $367. Budsgunshop.com has good deals, too.

We'll call it even for all the info I leeched off your first elk hunt thread when I first found Rokslide.

Glad you guys are finding some deals. I found out about it and told my direct family members who are in to guns, and Rokslide. That's it. Now the word is out on Reddit (whatever that is) so it sounds like the basement dwellers will be out soon to do the clean up.

My dad found a .45-70 with really pretty wood, but the price hasn't changed yet. This is at the same store he got an American for $199. He's going back this morning to see if he can snag it and I hope he can. He will probably disown me after his missing out on one yesterday by literally 5 minutes.

Picked up two Rugers today for 199 and a friend in OK went and got one for the same price. Heck of a deal on a cheap accurate bolt gun.

The nearest Walmart was sold out of 308 cal. So I called another one bout 35 min away and they had one. I went to a nearby Gander Mtn and they match price + 10% off difference. The difference was $244. So I got it for $193 out the door. This was in Pittsburgh PA.
