Wading boots

Ya just easy to get on and off. Hike several miles a day in them w/o issues. Sure you get water in them but it never bothers me. If I was using them a few times a week year around maybe I’d get wading boots but even my friends with wading boots take the xtra tuffs for moose.

For sure, my friend who I hunted with for the past several years (recently moved away) would take his regular xtra tuffs once they were worn out and he’d cut them down t wading boots, that’s all I ever saw him wear. Jacked up xtratuffs and whatever waders were on sale at Costco.

We just wear our xtra tuffs when wearing waders. Tried it once fly fishing and never went back to boots.

I haven't done any moose hunting (yet) but essentially do the same thing. Stocking foot waders in Muck boots. I maybe get a couple fluid ounces of water in the boots. It gives good ankle support and protects the bottom of your waders from the beaver punjee sticks.

Want to wear the wet Mucks without waders? Sealskinz socks.
