Wa archery season changed, Sept 12-26

I haven't seen the official announcement but rumors are flying that WDFW has adopted the above season change. This is something we've been supporting and pushing for a while now.

Not only will we be hunting in better weather closer to the rut but no more deciding between a mountain mule deer hunt and an elk hunt.

It is official! Email was sent by wdfw. For next 3 yrs it will start the Saturday after Labor Day.

That's much better than what it's been for some years now but when I was in high school I always remember it being the 1st-30th.

When were you in high school? WA has never had the whole month of Sep since I have been hunting or following along with my Dad but that only goes back about 30 years.

Finally get a halfway decent season for Wa. To bad it opens a couple days before i take off for Idaho unless i draw a Colocum or Tucannon tag. Not very optimistic about that though.
