Is the vx5hd worth the extra money over the vx3hd going on a 300wsm for whitetail in south alabama shots range from 50 to 250yds

For a set it and forget scope at those ranges, I say no it's not.

Predator Optics has the vx5 for 969 and vx3 for 679 almost 300$ difference

I own a VX3 and a 5 in 3.5-10 and 2-10. I would always pay the money for the 5. I like my 3, I love my 5. VX5 is on a 300 win mag. VX3 was on a 300wsm before I switched it for a Nightforce. I still have the VX3 that will probably be going on a 350 legend for the kids gun out to 200 yards.
