Just curious, what is the normal turnaround time for warranty work with Vortex? My binocs have an issue but I have a hunt in AZ in a month..

Give them a call but depends on if it is something you can live with and if it it a new pair or they fix.. I have heard of them calling their resellers and having them just give people a new pair of dependent on a hunt.. I think their customer service will work with you.. I would not send them in without talking to them first because I have seen it taking a month or so before.

The only time I sent something in - spotter - it took three weeks total time.

Earlier this year I had a turret come off a scope the Friday before a hunt the next Thursday. I called them up to see what they could do for me. The customer service rep. had me overnight it to his attention so he could rush the service. He said they would match my shipping speed on the return. I figured it was worth a shot since my only other option was to put a different scope on and I could do that if this one didn't come back in time. I shipped it Friday morning, they had it fixed and in the mail by Monday afternoon. I had it on my gun again on Tuesday night. I was pretty impressed. Give them a call and explain your situation. They will help you out.

I had to call them a few weeks ago regarding the rubber eyecup on my Razor HD binos falling off without me knowing/realizing. I asked if they could send a replacement but the rep said bc it was a higher price item they wanted to do the work in shop. She said turnaround right now was about 4 weeks and they were recommending hunters that were in-season keep their products if still functional until after all of their hunts were complete and then send them in after filling out their warranty form. Not sure if the turnaround time would change any or not when not in-season. But they were overall very helpful, personable, and easy to work with.

Just call them and tell them your situation. They will accommodate you, whether it be, getting you a loaner set, or getting yours back in time. They are used to this kind of thing, their optics break frequently..

They are fast. I sent in a range finder and got a return notice the same day. Call them.

They are so fast.

I gave them a call. Great experience. She told me 3-4 weeks is turnaround time right now. I told her my situation and she said to make a note of it on my form and to say I needed it back a few days before I actually was set to leave. With 1 day shipping time she claimed it won't be a problem and they will get them to me in time. If I get these back before my trip, Vortex likely has a customer for life.

Just an update.

I sent them off last Friday with a note saying I needed them for my trip.

They didn't fix them, they replaced them! And then over night them to me. I had them back this Thursday and was able to use them chasing whitetails this weekend.

Took about 2 weeks to do a repair on a rifle scope. I am now testing it. It has sat outside in the oregon rain for a week now, and still looks good. I am not trying to skeptical, but this scope fogged out on me after 2 weeks hunting and would have ruined my hunt if not for a gun available from someone that was tagged out.
