Hey guys,

I have a pair of Vortex Vultures that are new in box. I turned my old pair in for maintenance and received this new pair in return. I upgraded a while ago to some Razor's so don't really need this pair. The original pair was a great piece of glass that was well worth the money. I'm posting them for $400. Thanks for your consideration. Vultures3.JPGVultures1.JPGVultures2.JPG

How much is the performance difference between these and your razors?

I have used the Vultures side by side with Razors, Kaibabs, and Vipers, I have also put them next to my friends Swarovski's. The biggest difference that I have seen is light gathering ability. I was able to see better in the cuts and shadows of the mountains with he higher level glass vs the Vultures.

The Vultures are the entry HD binos for Vortex. A couple years ago I was listening to some Vortex sales reps talk about their glass. They explained that each step up you go, i.e. Vultures to Viper or Viper to Razors, you gain about 5-10 minutes of glassing time in low light conditions. So going from my Vultures to the Razors, I guess I have gained about 10-20 minutes of extra glassing time in the morning and evening.

The reason why most go with the Vultures is they are a good solid piece of high power glass at a very economical price. Before I turned my first pair of Vultures into Vortex I would still take them with me as back up glass and sometimes I would pick them over my Razors for the extra magnification. (I have the Razor 10x50).

Hope this helps.
