Vortex Viper Turret Durability

Got a customer that is looking at a Viper HS LR 4-16 which has an exposed high speed elevation turret. He is headed up on an extremely remote moose hunt in Canada and is worried about the durability of the turrets. I haven't personally run a Cortex Viper yet and am curious what anyone has experienced.

My biggest two concerns are:
1. The shim that enables the turret to stop at zero holding up with moisture and some tough love.
2. The turret itself holding adjustment, traveling cleanly, not falling apart with moisture and tough love.

Appreciate the thoughts,

Grant

Have used a bunch and have never seen one that I would call reliable. They are a hobby grade scope. Much, much better performance from SWFA's SS series of scopes.
