I am looking at a new scope for my rifle in 6.5 creedmoor. The two scopes i like are the 4-16x44 viper hst and Sig Sierra 3 bdx 4.5-14x44. I am very intrigued by the Sig BDX scope/rangefinder combo, but wary of reviews saying sync issues and cold weather performance battery wise. I am also leary of the quality of the glass on the SIG, and viability of the reticle at longer ranges. But the system seems really cool. Does anyone have any experience with the Sig system and any feedback.

I just got the kilo2400 bdx but I got it more for the ballistic features than to sync with a bdx scope. However, there is a good thread started by catorres1 where he tested out the combination and he seemed to like it. You can find the thread below.

Have the Viper HST on my 6.5. I think it’s hard to beat for the $$$. Batteries in a scope just seem like a bad idea.

I have the Viper HST 6-24x50 on my 7mag. It has been a great scope and for the value its hard to beat. I love the reticle on it where you can dial the turret for range or use reticle hashes for MOA.
However, I have decided to make the switch to a sig bdx system because I already have the rangefinder and just want to try it out.
i am looking to trade my vortex HST for a sig BDX capable system if anyone is interested...

I agree with this. I have a few HSTs and gen1 PSTs and they have been excellent even amidst abuse.

I "run" the sierra 3 on my 270. I don't own the sig rangefinder so I just went into the app and programmed preset dots for each yardage (in 100 yd increments) out to 600. Basically its like pins on an archery sight. That way I can use any old rangefinder, pick a dot and blaze away, and don't have to worry about sync issues. Works well.
