I am a Viper HD fan. 10x50 and 12x50, as well as a set of 10x42. They do everything I need here I Colorado for early morning and more so after sunset looking back into the timber for elk/deer coming out to feed. Good focus, nice clarity and haven't wanted for more since I started using Vipers in 2017. I like the x50's for their size. I am a very tall human with large hands. Smaller binos feel like holding a toy. The 10x42's are a loaner pair for camp. They are a solid choice, fans of other brands will share their thoughts. Since you are asking specifically about Vipers as one of your choices, I can weigh in that you will find they work well.
Edit: Vortex has sent more than a few objective lens covers at no charge as they do lose elasticity and not fit as snug. As well, when I moved and things were in storage as hunting season approached, I mentioned to the rep on the phone I really liked their harness and was going to pick one up since mine was in storage on the other pair of binoculars. They sent one, unexpectedly and at no cost, with the lens caps.
Thanks for the reply. That kind of draws me to the vipers. I was thinking either 10x50 or 12x50 instead of the 10x42. The Cronus is only available in 10x42.
