Vortex viper discontinuing ?

I was told by a guy today at Cabelas that Vortex will be discontinuing there line of viper scopes and replacing it with Viper HD. Anyone know if this is true ?

Cabelas has had big discounts the last 6 months on the vipers... not suprised.

Well I called vortex yesterday . Apparently that rumor is not true the only one they have discontinued is the
Viper pst 1 gen line because they now have the gen 2
