Vortex tripod

Impossible to answer at this point. What kind of tripod are you looking for and why are you putting on top of it?

The likely answer is going to be to look elsewhere.

I have a Vortex SS-P. Its a nice tripod for the money, light, compact, and stable with my 65mm Razor on it.

I have two seasons on the Vortex SS model. Biggest dislike for me has been the leg locks but other than that it has been a good tripod for the money.

I've had a Vortex SS, SS-P, and a High Country. I liked the SS-P the best for size, weight, and pan head. However, I use a slik 624 w/flip locks now and like it better than any of the 3.

If I could have all the money back I spent on cheaper tripods I would have paid for my outdoorsman more than once I think. Save your money and do it right once.

For a lightweight tripod I love my Summit SSP. It's pretty dang adjustable, and crazy small and light. It's fairly priced and the Vortex warranty is great too.
