Looking forward to antelope hunting next year and after my past experiences it would be nice to be able to mount the rifle onto a tripod to get up above the tall grass and shrubs. The shots Ive gotten have been from a sitting position and I used the top of my back as a rest, Since I already have a tripod with me for glassing I was wondering if there is a stable way to mount a rifle to it?

I built a rifle rest out of a piece of pvc pipe and glued some foam into it. I had an extra tripod mount drilled into it as well. It worked okay, I prefer to shoot off my trekking poles as it has since broke from me shooting on it.

Yeah it works good and is more stable than just a set of shooting sticks but a more substantial tripod would be much better if your gun is very heavy at all. The triclawps solo is def strong enough to hold a heavy gun just the ss-p isn’t.
