Vortex Razor Spotter new vs old

I’m sure this has been covered on here before, but I’m getting ready to purchase a Razor spotter and saw that I can get the gen 1 model for $800 vs the gen 2 model for $1100.
Is there really $300 worth of improvements on the newer model?

The glass on the gen 2 is suppose to be better and the focus knob on the gen 2 is the industry standard. From what I’ve read on here alot of people preferred there gen 1 performance wise and for the fine tuning of the old focus knob. Getting your hands on them both would be ideal for you but good spotters either way.

That’s about par with the reviews I’ve seen thus far, sound like there is no real upgrade on the glass itself to justify the additional $300 for the newest model.
