Vortex Razor hd first gen?

Found a pair of the razor HD's which I am assuming are the first generation due to the dual hinge for a great price. Anyone have any idea how much they differ from the current Razor HD's with the single hinge and magnesium frame? What I am really concerned about is if there was a big difference between the glass in them as compared to say the viper HD's.

The newer version does have higher quality hd glass. Per vortex. Im not sure what it compares to in their line up though.

Anyone have a pair of these that could chime in? They are the 2011 razor hd's?

No experience myself with either, but by all reports the current model are a significant improvement in design and glass... and there happens to be a pair on the classifieds on here from a great guy.

I've looked through both & the new Razor HD models are quite a bit better, it's very noticeable even at the first glance through them. Between the older Razor & the new Viper HD I'd choose the Viper HD in a heartbeat first! Plus the older Razors are much heavier & bulkier than either the new Viper HD or new Razor HD models.
