How would this compare to the Athlon Ares UHD 15-45x65 which is what I already have? Much of an upgrade?

I also have the Athlon 65mm. It's difficult with eyeglasses. And Razor has a mm or two more eye relief.
I'm probably not going to try it but for the price, you can always get your money back.

This is a great spotter guys, the dual focus wheel is awesome. IMO it's way better than the newer version which is 1,299.99. Let's you know how much mark-up there is in these things, imagine what Cabelas paid for them.

Thank you for the heads up. I’m going to try one out. For $520 it’s worth a shot and will be replacing a cheaper leupold spotter. I can only go up from their.

I tried to get Sportsmans to price match the scope they said they would only match the 697.97. So I went ahead and ordered it from Cabelas as it was too good to pass up. This morining is see that Cabelas has raised it up to 799.99 and 697.97 with the vortex15 code.

Other then the case being a little big and if you leave the objective piece attached it makes your phone a little bulky- the OG phone skope works well for the razor 65 for me.
