Vortex HST 6-24x50 or 4-16x44?

I can’t decide which one. This will be a hunting gun for mountain hunts what is your opinion? Thanks in advance.

I am running the 4-16 on a Bergara at the moment. I have only hunted it for coyotes and have taken it out to 800 at the range. For my personal hunting, 16 is higher magnification than I like. It is very nice to have that upper end when shooting at the range and when shooting at coyotes 400+ yards out, but for 99% of my big game hunting I do not need 16. 2.5-10 or 3-9 are perfect for what I do. With that said, it comes down to how you are going to use it and what ranges you plan to shoot. The HST has worked very well for me so far and I think 4-16 is more than enough for most situations.
