My understanding is it is the glass from their Viper series. Possibly a rumor, but thats what I was told. Not top shelf glass, but pretty good imo. Mine add a few min of vis past legal in nearly all conditions (dark timber, etc), which is all I ask.
Thanks. I want to compare to some other models Torn on buying some high end binos or middle of the road and more on a scope. I’ve been a leupold user for 30 years. Always treated and served me well. Looked at a pair of Swarovski EL ranges yesterday. Wow.
They are viper glass according to vortex as of this past summer when I was looking. Which isn't necessarily terrible, but won't be anywhere close to the swaros you tried
Yeah, half the price or more is the rangefinder. I got into shooting PRS matches and needed a much better rangefinder/spotter combo than the one I had, a lrf that will reliably mark well past 1000m isnt cheap to begin with so the combo was a great spend I think, but if Id just been looking for the bino part would definitely have purchased a diff set.
