Vortex Fury HD 5000 AB Review, By Travis Bertrand and Matt Cashell

To clarify he said “
@Ryan Trials Unfortunately I have since
spoken to vortex, it will measure the
inclination though it will not correct your
ballistic trajectory without putting it into an
app.”

Can someone with one of these confirm this thing does change your elevation solution if you take readings pointing level and also on an angle? WITHOUT being connected to the app?

I really only want a device that is independent of a smart phone once its been set up. Also the ability to change your latitude without a smart phone would be nice. Looks like with this you need a phone to change it?

Are they really this bad? I was considering them, but if the clarity isn’t there I’ll just go with dedicated bino’s and a RF.
He's just some jack wagon on the internet that's never used them. Vortex says the optical quality falls between viper and razor. Few people who hunt want to buy razor models that's why vortex didn't spent the extra cost to make a model less than 1% of optics buyers would prefer. 2,200 yards is the point at which I have difficulty distinguishing green from yellow lichens on rocks. At 1,200 yards I can easily tell one clump of grass from another. 500 yards I can see individual flakes of lichens on rocks. Quality is was better than needed for hunting. Getting optics advice online is hard. One thing I've picked up on, the people who are fine with Diamondbacks usually have excellent vision. Alot of people who claim they can't see anything unless they have Swarovski usually wear thick glasses or contacts. It's worth considering these variables. Ye focus issues from aging is a real thing and is exacerbated by a life of desk work.
