Im in need of a new range finder and bino's. What are peoples experiences with these. I can get them for around $850 new. I have used a slightly older pair of swaro's and actually didnt care for them because i had a hard time seeing the read out. But i have also used a pair of the leica's and loved them other then the size.
Have heard the ranging is slow. But how slow? Does it really make that much of a difference? Is it only slow at long distance?
Thanks for the help.

I have them and I don't think ranging is slow at all. Solid glass and a good ranging. I had older Geovids years back, went back to separates. Tried these mostly for longer range shooting, still prefer separate range finder and bino, but that has nothing to do with the fury or geovids just personal preference

I have last years Fury's and have loved them. I was hoping for a little better glass but the rangefinder is awesome and very easy to use. I was hoping for razor glass in them but it seems like it more like viper glass. i have not noticed slow ranging and honestly dont think it would make a huge difference.

I use Fury 5000s at PRS matches. The glass is more than adequate for that purpose, and if not for the existence of top end stuff like Swaro etc to compare to, we'd be calling this Vortex glass awesome. Rangefinding is as quick and accurate as my Leica 2400 RF, which I am very pleased with.

I went and looked through some yesterday. The glass is alright good but not great. They are a littke heavy but i think they are around the same weight as my current 12x51's. I hate the idea of going down in modification. But looked at the razor RF's and just couldnt get excited about buying them. The retical was blury but i did like the 7x power on them. Man i dont know why im having such a hard time with this decision.
