My boys are showing great interest in using my spotter - so much so I can barely steal a peek. It's time for them to have one. I can't splurge for the big $$$. I'm interested to hear feedback from those who have used the Vortex Diamondbacks or similar scope in that class.

Thanks a bunch!

its what i have been using for 5 years. i set it up with a friend who owns swaro's. he looked through it and said he was impressed for the price. i declined to look through his swaro's.... i did not want to get discouraged after he built the vortex's up with his comment! it has worked for me but/ and i don't have the $$ to get anything better. sure people will say you should spend more but i have not ever felt they were not doing the job i was asking them to do. good luck.

I use my dads diamondback when I go west. It seems like every year I end up leaving it in the truck after the first day or two. It doesn’t help me much more than my binos on a tripod. I would spend a little more money on something better for your boys. That way they won’t want to upgrade in a couple years.

The new diamondback hd is really nice for the money. It will work perfect for what you want it to do.
