Looking to purchase a pair of vortex binos. Either 10x42 or 12x50. Does anyone have recommendations on which vortex model to go with?

Guess it would depend on what you are trying to accomplish. With your broad question my answer would be either diamondback (cheap and find for most) or fury ab (mac daddy).

Vortex recently replaced a 6.5x32 Fury I got on the very first run of those they ever did, with a brand new Viper HD. I had ignored Vortex for awhile, mainly due to their switch ro Chinese manufacture. I have to say I am pretty impressed with the Viper HD's, now of Philippine manufacture. I'd hav e no problem if I had these as an only binocular. Mine are 8x, and the big thing is the measured fov is a lot wider than the spec sheet says, 409' vs 435'. Personally I would not spend the extra for the Razor, just not enough better for the price difference.

The Razor UHD 12X50s are a really decent option and are better outside in hand than they have been reviewed as. They are heavy though. Not as good for run and gun. Great off of a tripod.
