I got tired of fumbling with my vortex bino tripod adapter trying to tighten it in between the barrels. So I cut a 4" piece of carbon arrow and used a flat file edge to cut a groove in it. It isn't perfect and it might break but it worked on a test run. Anybody have a better solution?

Outdoorsman are sweet! But for now the arrow is cheaper. I will be watching for sales.

I did almost the exact thing only used a small dowel rod. For 10$ the adapter works. But I can’t wait to upgrade!

I fought with that thing for to many seasons and broke down and bought an outdoorsman mount. I’ll never be going back!

I got the Uni-Daptor from Vortex after trying to make the normal Bino Adaptor work. A buddy of mine picked one up from Amazon that I really like too, it's pretty similar to the Outdoorsman but about 1/2 the price.

I also had the vortex adapter and it was a pain. I got a cool adapter from "joshdidthis" on this forum. It has a stud similar to outdoorsman and then a wing nut to tighten down onto the stud.

I second this. The field optics research one is cheap (if you look around you can find it for $25-$30) and it operates like the outdoorsman. Not quite as slick as the outdoorsman, but I don't see any need to get anything different. I have had it for several years and really like it.
