Vivo forest tracker esc durability

Same boot as the taller one?
Not sure what you mean? They (Magna Forest ESC) are very similar to the Tracker’s but as said above they have a low snug fitting elastic collar around the ankle. Lacing is a little different between them. The Magna will pinch at the inner ankles same as what I hear of the Tracker’s if you tighten them too tight. I wear them all over the place. I wear Gobi’s all over too :)

^^^Yeah, no heel slip at all. Fits like a comfy broken in glove.

On a real foot. Pointing to center of inner ankle.

Thanks, not sure why I didn't think of the liners. I've got some REI liner socks I can use, but the toe socks are intriguing. Do you find them superior for hunting in the Trackers vs just a standard thin liner sock?

I use the toe liners for everything. They feel weird at first, but really help with blisters between your toes when doing lots of side and down hilling.

If your feet hover between 10-11 depending on the shoe what size would you order for the “boot original weight otc”. It looks like I’m right in between the medium and large.

I’m an 11 or 44 in most regular shoes (Hoka, Nike, Ecco, Clark, etc…) and wear 44 Vivo

Well after reading this thread I purchased a pair. They arrived today and I just tried them on. Went to lace up them and the ankle grommet popped right out. Discouraging to say the least. Doesn’t instill much confidence in these.

Oops. I should have clarified that I was talking about the injinjis socks. They are having a sale and thought I would give them a try. Thank you for the response though as I may be giving the vivos a whirl.

Merino or Coolmax the preferred liner?

My first pair of these I lost a hook the first time I laced them up. I returned them and told them what happened I was reimbursed and now have purchased 2 more pairs with no problems.

There's a few reports in the Amazon reviews of this happening.

Luckily, it didn't happen with mine and they are holding up well so far

Mine lasted a little over a year before the rubber to leather seam on the heel started coming apart on both feet. I'm still wearing them, but they would fill with snow/debris in the field. I'm not complaining, I wore them most days and I like them. I bought another pair on sale fwiw. I'm debating having them fixed, depending on cost.

I went with the mediums for the injinjis original boot weight otc sock and the fit is pretty good. The pinky toe is a touch long. They felt good in my boots that I wore at work today

I'm on year 5 of daily wear (gym, some cross country running, daily wear, yard work, you name it) with my Tracker FG's and besides looking like a boxer after 12 rounds, they're still in tip-top shape. My favorite and most worn pair of footwear.

I hate wearing "traditional" shoes now, can't stand em in fact.

Another Vivo thumb's up.

My 5 year old had a pair of the Primus Trail shoes and the stitching around the flex point at the door ball/tongue/sole had started coming loose. An email with some pictures, and we have a new pair of more expensive shoes less than a business week later. (they didn't have his size in the original pair)

Between Vivo and Innov8, there's zero left to want in either customer service or product.

I missed out on that sale because I can't decide on size since I'm right around 10 1/2. I have a few low-cut Injinji in medium, the wool shrunk and is too small (also already worn out after a few months). The non-wool is OK after a few washes but I'm worried if I size up to Large they will be too big.
