Vivo Barefoot Tundra ESC Review

Bought a pair of the tundras 2 months ago with a 20% off coupon as I needed a barefoot cold weather boot. I don’t have too many miles on them yet but I stayed very warm though out the WI rifle seasons in temps ranging from 30s down to the mid teens and my feet were warm for sits up to 4 hours (I’ll test longer sits next year). These are also great pulling kids around in the sleds in the deep snow, outdoor chores, etc. Overall I am thrilled but it’s early days yet.

Question for those of you that have these. I have issues with the little sole liner inside the thick wool liner. It is constantly bunching up and sliding. Do you have this issue and if so do you remove or replace? Thanks!

Possibly it’s a little to big?

From above I replaced it with a thicker wool insole

I just did the same from some that I had in a different pair of boots and took a jog through the snow and they are way better. Thank you!

The little wool insole inside the wool bootie kept shedding so I took it out. Eventually I may try another vivo insole in there. Has anyone thought about removing the laces and trying a boa system instead of using straps or cutting the laces in two?
