Victory vap vs Black eagle rampage.

Unless your planning on running Valkyrie components you need to go with the Rampage with Iron Will components.

Why is that?

I have used both, no wrong answer between Em.

I do use ethics components on the vaps. No complaints

Those are two vastly different arrows. I guess it depends what you're looking for in an arrow to help you decide. If I was set on a 4mm arrow, VAP's wouldn't be my first choice. And if I was set on a 5mm arrow, Rampages wouldn't be my first choice.

Because the Vaps are going to require a lever arm via a half out/collar system that can be difficult to install, cause unnecessary rotational forces to the end of the shaft, and cause significant run-out. The Valkyrie and Ironwill component systems put the internals inside of the shaft where they belong. Both are basically the same system. The Ironwill is just more applicable to 5mm while the Valkyrie is only intended for micros.

What are your first choices

Glad to see this thread pop up. I am debating between those two as well as the Easton Axis 5mm match grade. Currently run the GT Pierce Platinum and like the micro but am using standard components. Will be going with Iron Will for components with whatever shaft i do select. What are your pros and cons between the two?

The cons for you is Deep 6 if your planning on running IW components.

I run the vap tkos currently and don’t have any complaints yet, but am
Interested in your thoughts.

Here's a 300 spine rampage . First 8 inches shattered on the femur of a 200 lb boar. I've broke 5 on animals in the last 2 weeks. Mostly from hitting something after passing through. These arrows are weak I'm moving on to sirius Apollos or rip tkos .. I've yet to break an axis and I've shot hogs between the eyes. I just don't want a 500 grain finished arrow..

That's my experience as well with the Rampage 250's. The Apollo's and RIP TKO's are two excellent choices. I have both.

I have yet to break a rampage on a critter. I think I've broke 1-2 in 2 years. 1 hitting a steel fence post and 1 I shot into an iron target. I purposely shot one of mine into a tree to see how it would hold up and it was fine.
