So I'm after a new set of 10x4 binos, and these are the choices.

I've looked through the HT bino and was very impressed, but I've never looked through the SF.

I was curious as to whether anyone owns both, or has compared the two side by side? I would but there are no dealers near me that stock the SF.

I looked through both in a store under fluorescent lights a couple weeks ago. Both were amazing with the SFs having a flatter and better image in my opinion. With that being said the SFs were $2800 and the HTs were on sale for $1171. I put the HTs on layaway and cannot wait to hunt with them this fall. Definitely try to look through both if you can because they are different. If money wasn't an option for me then I think I would have gotten the SFs if those were my only two choices. Hope this helped.

It's one of those opinion things. I haven't looked through the FL's so I can't personally judge them. The HT's are very nice glass. Quite a few of the reviews I read liked the HT's over the FL's(seemed to be a color thing). Can you get both and send one back. The only way YOU will know for sure is trying them out.

Rokslide has a review of the SF. I'm a little confused if others are talking about the FL (older model) or the SF you asked about. Both Zeiss models appear larger than competitors 10x42. The SF specs for the 360' FOV sounds interesting.

I was always talking about the SFs, but was definitely typing FL. Sorry for that confusion, I edited the mistake. Good catch though, thank you.

Buy the HT's, I was not impressed with the SF's for the price. The view felt muted to me and the build quality reminded me of a set of asian binoculars.
