Thinking of shopping around for vehicle insurance. Have been with American family forever. Any ones to avoid? Any suggestions

I just changed ours last summer. Used Zander, they moved me from car/home with Geico/Liberty Mutual to Travelers for both. They actually increased my coverage on both, and saved me enough on 5 cars (full coverage on all) that our home owners is free. (from where it used to be). A guy at work said they saved him, and I should call, and since then, they have saved 4 others I work with. So far I have no complaints.

I've been with American family since we bought our house in 2018. We have home, auto, appliance and motorcycle. I've shopped around in the years since and I've not found any better rates. I can say avoid state farm like the plague. Nothing but bad experiences. Even my buddies wife who works for them doesn't recommend them to any of their friends and family.

Round up an independent dude. Not just bubba with state farm. He'll shop around and most times find something better than you will find on your own.

I like finding a local person. That way if something dumb happens I can go have a powwow. Do a search for insurance brokers in your area and start calling
