I just read the article on the Vanguard Endeaver spotting scope. Since I'm in the market for a new scope I was wondering
if anyone has a full season with one and how you feel about it's durability in the field. The article convinced me to look at these scopes more closely for a number of reasons (price being one). I was wondering how they hold up in the long run. My hunts are usually on horse or in trucks. I'm replacing a scope I've had for many years. I'd like to know how some of you who have them feel about them after you've lived with one for awhile. Thanks.

I'm looking to sell one that's a few years old in perfect condition. Only been in field a few times. Let me know if ur interested. I have had a few pair of their binos and they are great and hold up well.

I've had mine for awhile (same article got me to sell my Razor and give it a try) as have a few others, no issues at all and I've also loaned it out to buddies. This is truely the best overall value in a spotter you can get until your really ready to move up to a swaro grade optic. Also they pretty much have the same warranty as vortex on the endeavor HD.

FYI I had a Vortex Razor 65 as well, the Vanguard is better then the 65 but I have an 82 which may make a diff but it is equal to my biddies Razor 85 when we compared them directly this last year. Spend more if you want but I'm very happy with it, I don't think it is worth spending more until you really jump up in price.

You have the 82 endevor? I'm considering running one these (60 or 80 endeavor) this season for similar reasons.
Have you ever felt like the optics quality isn't worth the wieght with the 82 endeavor?

dotman, thanks for the information. I keep researching the various makes and keep coming back to the Endeaver. I'm not interested in a high dollar scope. I just put most of my optics budget into Swaro 10x42 rangefinder binos. I use the binos more than my old spotting scope. Was just wanting to upgrade my 30 year old spotter for something newer with the money left. I think after reading the rokslide review and others it seems to fit the bill for me.

Would you recommend the 82 if weight is not a factor? Most of my hunting is on horses or trucks.

I guess the warranty is transferable also? i've been looking at one of these also, theres an 80 in the classifieds right now, think it would be too big for me though.
