IMG_3296.jpgHey guys.

I have a Savage Stainless Laminated Smokeless Muzzloader.

I pillar bedded it years ago, and it also has the small rifle primer mod with bolt face and breach plug, but I still have the standard breach plug and bolt face. It's just a simple swap that takes a few minutes to do. This rifle is EXTREMELY accurate with good quality sabots and bullets. I was using the PR Bullet pure lead slugs with ballistic tips and was killing deer well past 200 yards in Canada. It absolutely HAMMERED deer at 100 yards.

I have not shot it in a long time so am clearing some rifles out. I also have green laminated TC Omega with thumbhole stock.

I have no idea what the rifle is worth, or the TC. If anyone can give some feedback on value, that would be appreciated. ?

Looking at Gunbroker completed sales - probably ~ $1100-1200.

“Green laminate” aftermarket Boyd’s thumbhole stock on the Omega? Pics?

Depending on number of shots, I would estimate 1200-1400. Just depends on finding the right buyer that values it at much as you. Just sold mine cerakote barrel + camo dipped stock for approx 1300

I see them sell for $1000+, even for the plastic stock models, on sales forums all the time.

I have one - laminated stock MLII, like the OP shows - that I think I bought in 2004ish and shot a lot of deer with it and eventually shortened the barrel a bit (because the savage action is longer than it needs to be) and I probably killed the resale value, but I still see them sell pretty high.

Some years back I bought an old 700ML with a rusted barrel, rebarreled it with a McGowen .45 barrel and put a Badger smokeless breechplug in it and put it into a Boyd's stock and ended up with less money in the rifle than the old Savages will bring now.....which tells me that if not for the sentimental value of the old thing, I'd likely be better off selling it and building another smokeless gun on another older 700ML. Just saying that to tell OP he could probably do that.

Rarely does a year go by without seeing at least one 700ML with a rusted bore that would still make a solid donor action for a build, for cheap.
