I'd like to use my UTV (Honda Pioneer 500) this year to access some areas tougher for the truck. For those of you that go this route, how do you carry your bow? I've looked at Kolpin Grips. Thought about just strapping it to my pack like I do when I'm hiking and laying it in the rack.. Just trying to be mindful of keeping it secure and protected. Figured some of you have tackled this already

Deer hunting around home in a soft case in the back. Elk hunting just have it strapped to the pack laying in back.

I prefer having the bow in a soft case with the quiver on, arrows in the quiver. There often is dust or mud, sticks etc. A lot of my spring bear involve a quad, as have a few caribou hunts in Nunavut. No issues with the bow in a decent soft case yet. Turn the case so the zipper gets the least amount of mud posssible as that gums up a zipper.

With your side by side, the soft case can be seat belted with the passenger belt. I've done that when bear hunting alone in the RZR. Good luck

I had built a bow rack on my Ranger out of PVC pipe that held the bow great. Problem was that it would be totally coated with dust. I now use a hard case for my bow in the SxS. For the wheeler, I have a bow rack on the front (less dusty) but still really exposed. If you go the bow rack route, make sure your arrows are well secured in the quiver, don't want one rattling loose and ending up coming back at you.

I've seen a couple guys build bow carriers that hold the bow in front of the UTV , similar position you'd mount LED lights etc. I'm sure there's someone on here that does similar.

Many areas it needs to be cased if on a utv or atv.

I use a soft sided double bow case that is made to attach to the rack on a utv. Has a few extra pockets so you can put a quiver or extra arrows in it.

that’s what I need for my Wolverine. We have been just putting the cased bows in the cargo box.
Even if it was legal, I would still want a case

I use the same case. Trashed it after last season when the second zipper blew but nobody makes anything better so I’ll order another on this summer. Just have to treat the zippers like fine china, especially when dusty .

I have a fair amount of of use with mine, no problems yet. Definitely isn't built as well as some others. But it works, and keeps the bed open.
