USPS killing your buzz, too?

Memphis hub has been horrible. I sent in some Sitka gear for an exchange and it sat in Memphis for 6 days before being delivered to Sitka.... which also is in Memphis

While I agree it is frustrating and I’ve been waiting on a few packages that are still in transit. I also remember that during this COVID crap there are literally millions of people ordering from amazon and other online sources that probably didn’t before this started.

Had my first delay last week on a pair of boots.
Supposed to be here friday and showed up monday
Same delayed message

I know all to well of the pains of shipping USPS.
I sold something on ebay on Aug. 4. shipped it USPS with a tracking# (always). Package arrived at the buyer's local P.O. and has been "out for delivery" since the begining of Aug. Buyer said he's still waiting. It's +20days later and the tracking# still shows "out for delivery". (I'm guessing it's lost.)

On another occasion.. sold something else & shipped USPS priority w/ tracking#. Package got to buyer's USPS central hub and sat there with no further updates. Contacted USPS & placed a claim to locate the package. Their/USPS response was "sorry we can't locate the package."

On 2 occasions, I purchased something on ebay shipped USPS (did not require receiver signature). USPS tracking indicated "attempted delivery, homeowner was not home left card" to pick up at P.O.
Meanwhile I was home waiting for the package and there was "no card" left. Picked up the package myself at PO. & verified no signature required.( looks like the mailman decided to go home early that day. sarcasm )

UPS is not that great either. A couple of times I received the neighbors UPS package on my door step. Another time I received someone's UPS Overnight documents/envelope and it wasn't even the correct street (delivered it myself.)

I sent my daughter a package few months ago they told me it would takes 4 days which I payed for , it took 2.5 weeks from Florida to Pa .

I had a mate in Columbus Ohio send me a parcel USPS international on July 23. I got a tracking update today actually to tell me it has arrived at the global facility in Chicago.

So that's 5 weeks to get from Columbus to Chicago. Goodness knows how long it's going to take get to me in Australia.

Here's a trick that will eliminate the problem. Use Registered USPS mail. It's their highest priority mail (better than certified) and always ALWAYS goes in the truck first. Small fee-huge advantage. This is coming from someone who spends over 17K a month with the USPS.

What did you have to do? The frame was supposed to arrive on the 27th.
I contacted customer service and they basically told me it is at a nearby facility but will not get to my local facility until there is space on a truck to get it there. They could not give me an estimate either.... So what I had to do was wait.

It still says "In Transit" so I am assuming it is still on it's way. My patience is wearing thin, though.

Little update on the package - got an email saying it was delivered. I have been home the entire day working and thought to myself, "weird, i didnt see or hear anything?". Check outside, nothing. Call the post office and the guy is calling around to carriers to see where it is - fml. At least i think its in Minnesota?

It has arrived. This experience has taught me that I really need to work on patience when it comes to buying stuff online!

with all the political bs going on right now why the hell does the usps have to be involved. just let my packages and mail flow freely.

fwiw, i'll be using ups/fedex and paying more for it until after the election.

in the world we live in, i have gotten used to immediate satisfaction and not having to wait days on end. Guess i got spoiled but it is still frustrating ha.

For me its Fed Ex. Driver has been dumping packages in the weeds at the intersection of my road and next road, for all 5 houses on my road, instead of delivering to the houses. I've lost a rangefinder four weeks ago and my wife drove up there and found a camofire order for me today laying by the busy road. Infuriating, but they won't stop doing it.

That's shitty. My FedEx driver is afraid of snow. When that happens I have to go check one of 3 locations that he offloads them. It's a pain but at least it's indoors. If I'm ordering it's Amazon or ups for the win. FedEx in a distant 3rd during wintertime and then USPS getting drug across the finish line in last.

yeah, that would p*** me off.

Notta problem here in Indiana thus far. Purchased a used Pintler from a fellow in SoCal and was here in 3 days via priority. Hope this doesn’t change!

My local post office is top notch. Those folks are always happy, always courteous, always busting their butt making multiple trips and delivering to all hours of the evening. I have had my fair share of issues with the USPS however....

FedEx is the worst for my area. They are awful.
