Using a centerfire can on a rimfire?

When I first got my 17 WSM the rimfire cans I had at the time were only rated for use up to 17 HMR so I used my TBAC 223-P2 CF can on it and it worked really well. Just for shits and giggles I screwed my 338 can on it and shot a few rounds just to see what it sounded like with that big ole can on there. In that scenario bigger was definitely not better because to my ears I could tell no difference and if anything it may have even been slightly louder then my much smaller 223 can.

One thing it did do well was look goofy as hell with that bigazz 338 can on there.

There's a couple of good you tube's out there. Of course. One guy is using a Banish on his 22, did not seem to suppress the round much compared to a designated 22lr can. ???????
I do it with my Banish 30...I can here the bullet hit sell healing targets at 50 yards. It seems to be about as loud as my high velocity air rifle....so it greatly reduces it at least from the shooters position.

100% no problem unless to tilt the gun muzzle up, then the unburnt powder will fall back into your trigger but no damage is really done. I just unscrew the suppressor after a range session and tap it on the bench to knock the powder out. This is the main reason almost no one uses a suppressor in NRL22/PRS22...at least around here.

Screw it on and have fun
