I do kinda feel bad for the old Canadians, it's like the only thing that their good at and they couldn't win it. Just imagine if Hockey was our #1 sport here instead of like 4th or 5th. It would probably be like playing against a bunch of little kids.

Remind me how you guys did in the 2 games prior to USA? ...Oh thats right, you went to OT vs the Czechs, and you got a BS powerplay call in the final 2 minutes vs Finland after trailing the entire game, to get the game winner. . No matter how GREAT your team was on paper skill wise, they lost, and didnt show up as the powerhouse team they were supposed to be the entire tournament. Yes, you guys had the ice tilted in the 2nd/3rd...but you also didnt score on a nearly 2 minute long 5 on 3. The best part of winning so far, is seeing the Canucks making every excuse possible why they should have won but didnt. Your team moved out of olympic village into 5 star hotels, USA stayed together and did everything as a team. USA played far better hockey in the games prior the the gold medal, whereas your team didnt hold a lead in both elimination games until the very end. . .On paper Canada was supposed to be the best team ever assembled on ice, and on paper it is. But they sure didnt show that when it came time on the ice, and thats the only place it matters

Exactly.. I was just pointing out the blatant facts from the full tournament, but as expected, he didnt want to comment about that. . Last i checked we hit the post off the point shot off Guetzel's glove...if that goes in, we win in regulation too...but instead of saying WHAT IF...we won. plain and simple. Played hockey most my life, and a goalie at that...the shot count doesnt matter..the goals do.

Absolutely enjoy it. But I think you missed my point. Canada did outplay the USA in that game, you guys just got the bounces. If we played that exact game 10 times, I don’t think Hellebuyck makes that save on Devon Towes very often, or even more than once and I don’t think MacKinnon misses the wide open net more than one out of 10 times.

Most of that game was dominated by the Canadians. It’s hard to criticize their effort.

And maybe the linesmen don’t miss the 8 guys on the ice playing the puck and we get one more chance on the power play

So, in your scenario, Helly doesn’t make the save, and Mac doesn’t miss in the next 9 tries, but in those next 9 tries, both Toews and Mac still have the shot or the open net chance again in all 9?? Sorry bud, it doesn’t work that way. There is no ‘EXACT’ same game. I wouldn’t criticize their effort either, but in OT, Makar didn’t have the legs left and they didn’t have another skating D man for the 3x3 without Morrissey. Leaving Schaefer at home is what did them in.

Not saying us hockey guys aren't intelligence but it's not hard to have a high graduation right when the class schedule is full of light electives like bowling, golf, pickleball, fly fishing, intro into personal finance, career planning, study skills, ect.......

Okie dokie buddy. Maybe you "aren't intelligence." And I'm sure people have run-ins with hockey people that aren't smart. Frankly, I'm done arguing about it. Clearly some people's hockey circles are different than others.

None of you guys actually won an Olympic medal playing hockey the other day. You were watching it on TV. Not sure if you realized. I work with a bunch of guys who play in the NFL. They win games all the time on their couch too.
