I like both these packs and trying to decide between them...

Mainly want to use for hunting whitetails, so tree stand hunting and scouting, EDC and also occasional trips - day hunts (coues, antelope, etc..).

I like the weight of the Zippy and the suspension and omni belt option for X-ray...tough decision!

Have any of you guys used these in the field...likes/dislikes?

Thanks!

No experience but I'm looking at the same options. For me it's the water bottle pockets that pull me to the UZ.

I use my zippy everyday for edc stuff. Love it. I don't tree stand hunt but I imagine it is plenty big enough. The Antero is a perfect edc pack for in town. Blends our lifestyle and work well.

I use an XRay for EDC. Have had it maybe 4 years. No way if go down to the zippy size. The XRay compresses so small but opens up to carry more when needed and the suspension is great!!

Bingo.

I tried the tactical zippy and went back to the X-ray. I really like the panel opening of the X-ray. When compressed you still have easy access to the X-rays contents from the panel.

I prefer the more modular route so the urban zippy side pockets don't appeal to me. Throw a Kifaru nalgene pouch or mini side pocket on the sides of the X-ray when needed.

Looking forward to the new small side pockets for the sides of my X-ray too.

I run a X-Ray as EDC/Range/Predator/Gym/Photography bag and sometimes wish I had the Xing for a little more room. No way I would go down to the zippy for a hunting bag. Here's a picture of my X-Ray with 2 medium side pockets and a Nalgene pocket.
