Went in to mail a chassis today. They told me as of yesterday, shipping gun parts(non-FFL items) was no longer allowed without an FFL by UPS. BUT scopes and ammo are ok.... Has anyone else run into this?

As for not stating what is in the package, wouldn’t that cause an issue if the item is lost/damaged and an insurance claim is made?

That's weird. I've shipped several fully functioning rifles via Fedex before without any issues at all.

New policy .. gun or gun related products. Have to schedule a pickup .. $35 and 5 hr window.

Just won’t be insured without accurate description.

Although luckily I've never had to make a claim what I do is state it as something of equal value (when shipping gun parts) and package it in a way that even they cant destroy in shipping and feel good about it.

I shipped a chassis I sold on here and just told them it was a tool when they asked what was in the box. I wasn't lying but didn't want to explain what a chassis is...

Same thing happened to me last month... They wouldn't allow me ship two handgun or even one... Left and FedEx took my business and handled it without complaints.

It might have just been the location. Was heading to "town" and not the smaller locations around me

I only use UPS if it is a return set up through the outfit I bought from such as Amazon.
I recently found out Kohls takes Amazon returns and you get Kohls bucks as well!
