Updates on SG Xcurve Frame?

Looking at going back to an SG xcurve frame and pack, i know they have updated their belt pulls to the "power lock". Curious to know if they updated anything else and peoples thoughts that should push me to buy new vs used?

i know they changed the internal stays in the frame sheet awhile back, from round stays to a flat stock material. its supposed to help with comfort, im not sure when they made the change, but it was a while ago.

The only problem with their power pulls was it would not stay put when you were trying to tighten your belt. Supposedly that's been rectified? To get your belt to stay you had to pull one side while lifting up on the main buckle with the opposite hand. And then pull the other side and lift up again. Kind of odd but it worked. Again hopefully they rectified that so you could just pull with two hands and be done.

I just wish they would change the inner material on the belt and shoulder straps. They pill horribly. Especially if they come in contact with Velcro.

Hammer, I can confirm that the power pulls design is much improved and rectifies the issue you set out. They also have a new material on their shoulder straps and belt. I really can’t make any comment as to the long term durability of it, but so far, it seems better than the prior generation material.
