Unknown suppressors OG testing

Exactly. I’d be all over it right now if my local FFL didn’t charge me 150 for a transfer plus 40 bucks to use the kiosk that I have to use to transfer there.
Thats ridiculous! My dealer charges $75 for a transfer. Ive never had a dealer charge for using the kiosk.

Does @Unknown Suppressors help with setting up trusts for these? Or do they just sell, mail to your FFL/SOT? Trying to figure out what I need to do to get this one in a trust - I ordered my last suppressor from silencershop as an individual tax stamp so I'm not very familiar with the process, they handled everything.

I already had a trust. SilencerCo had no issues putting my OG into the trust.

I opted for silencershop single shot trust unlimited. Which means every time I get a suppressor and use their system it automatically creates a single shot. In this case - two single shots for both suppressors.

i have a trust as well, but decided the single shot was easier

If you're an ID resident using UM/US as the FFL/SOT they will help you submit a Form 4 trust through SilencerShop.

If you're going through another FFL/SOT, that entity would assist with submitting the Form 4 trust paperwork through whatever system they use. Mine happens to use SilencerShop as well. In this scenario, UM/US has no involvement after transferring the suppressor to your preferred FFL/SOT.

You'll get stuck paying a transfer fee and doing the same process with Silencer Shop at your local place.

I think sales will explode like a Scythe-Ti if they can get that sorted out to go direct thru SS or to your door like Capital Armory.

Capitol armory, Silencer shop, or local brick and mortar (scheels in particular) is just too easy with good can options out there. Easy to avoid additional fuss. If there was a NHS, OG, or Reaper on the shelf at scheels I may have impulse bought one by now.

SRS is in Scheels so there is some know how under the roof there in ID but Ken made it sound like a PITA to get to that point. For me, Local at Scheels > Capitol Armory > Silencer shop but all are pretty easy.

I’m just going to say that after shooting the OG alongside the AB Raptor 8 w/ 3” reflex and the Scythe Ti, that while I am very happy with the AB Raptor 8, I really love the OG. It’s not as quiet as the longer, heavier AB, but it is definitely quiet enough.

I’ve fired 40 rounds through it with my Mauser 98 .270 w/ 21” barrel and I just like it more every time I pull the trigger. I regret and take back every ignorant thought and negative comment I ever had about it. It’s the best hunting can on the market, in my opinion.

I am going to have to get another one for my .25-06, because it’s never coming off this rifle.

UM stop being a responsible business and just eat the margin and send 100each of all tree to Silencer Shop.

Figured it went without sayin but no shade intended towards US and understand those bigger outlets probably cut into margin - just stating what i'm sure they already know - more folks would buy if they didn't have to deal with more transfer fees and less streamlined ATF stamp submittal processes.

Random thought… come January there are going to be a paucity of suppressors in local shops. Def some risk… but could put suppressors in local places on “consignment” cut the margin, but also the overhead/risk for smaller shops.

Oh I paid $100 SOT transfer, soooo unless they move close to me or move to silencer shop, I’m going to have to wait to get a reaper in Jan…unfortunately :(

I would have impulse bought one the first week the OG came out if my local FFL/SOT didn't charge $100 for the transfer and then charge another fee to put it into the silencershop kiosk so I can use that trust/fingerprint/tax stamp system. US's $100-off discount almost made it equal money, but I've thought about it and I really need to spend my discretionary money on other things the rest of this fall going into hunting season. I still have to talk myself out of it on about a weekly basis.
