Unknown suppressors OG testing

Order #1258 , ordered mine 5 minutes after they released on 5/30, was told the form 3 would be filed on 6/5 . Finally called unknown today 6/20 and the form 3 hadn’t been filed yet . I’m not talking crap or anything, but you might wanna make sure they’ve filed your forms if you’re still waiting . Anyway , I’m looking forward to getting mine .

Can't file if they can't get in touch with your FFL. This could be part of the problem

They had everything they needed . I made sure of this on 6/2 and they responded back on 6/5 confirming . When I called today they reiterated they had everything they needed and emailed my sot 5 minutes after I got off the phone . Again I’m not talking crap , stuff falls through the cracks

Mine arrived locally last Saturday, have been in the ATF que since Tuesday.
mine arrived Monday and filed the paperwork/eform. Mine seem to take longer than some but it will get turned loose in a day or twenty. Looking forward to it.

1389 here, I was told when I added an adapter they were waiting on my form 3 to be accepted. Which should be today or Monday and it would be shipped the following day.
I thought I read somewhere in this thread that Thursdays were suppressor ship days

Finally filled out the paperwork on mine today. Its been at my SOT for over a week, ive just been busier than a #@$@# on nickel night. Overall first impressions were good. I did see some some "proud" spots inside it. Can't wait to test it out

Can you just go to Unkown and buy this direct from them?

If you are close enough, you can drive to them and buy it direct from them. They handle the transfer and stamp if you do it that way. Otherwise, you order it from them and they ship it to your SOT, who handles the paperwork (generally via Silencer Shop).

Finally got out with the OG & 20” Tikka .223 today. Pretty happy with it after a 50 round session. Gained about 45 fps versus unsuppressed, which I like to see. Average MV 2824 fps with AAC 75 grain. What I was most excited about when I saw the prototype at the hunt expo was the weight distribution / balance. I’d say it delivers on that. I’m no connoisseur of suppressor performance, but I do know that it was plenty quiet for me to shoot without ear pro and never felt like I was running a risk. That’s obviously very non scientific, but good enough for me.

As Ryan and Jake explained might happen, I did have a few little sparks fly - maybe 4 or 5. Not a bother to me. Also, I think I saw earlier someone say the first time they screwed it onto their barrel it was a bit rough. That was also the case for me. After about 12 rounds fired, I checked to see if it was still tight and it had loosened significantly. Probably 3 full rotations. I tightened it back up and shot another 35-40 rounds and it didn’t budge. But I will say, even with the can loose it shot just as well as when it was properly tightened.

I shot mine for the first time today also on my 7 saum. Shot 4 shots to zero after changing suppressors. Had to come down .3 from the harvester evo that was previously on it. Unfortunately I can't speak to the sound because I had a 100' concrete retaining wall 20' to my left. The sound bouncing off affects the sound a lot. It definitely sounds different than any suppressor I have used. I had the opposite experience. Mine came loose between shots 11-15 in the middle of a 25.round group shooting 5 at a time and letting it cool to get rid of the mirage. POI started wandering down and to the left. Once I tightened it again the POI went right back to where it was.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on the difference between the OG and the Harvester Evo (once you get away from the block retaining wall) since that's what I'm currently running and debating an "upgrade"?

I forgot to get an adapter that won’t get stuff in a Reflex can(got one stuck in Ab raptor8 already), as soon as it gets here I will test it next to the A10 223, they both have a similar baffle number even though A10 is still an 1.5 inch longer past muzzle.

I’ll also run it against the Raptor 8 even though that’s not a direct comparison.

Just a heads up, I’ve shared comparisons to the harvester Evo earlier in the thread.

I think the harvester Evo is good for my 223 but just barely hearing safe (and unpleasant) on my 6.5 creed or 308. For comparison, the OG was delightful on the 223 and much less harsh than the Evo on the 6.5 and 308. I would say both the quality of the sound and the actual Db rating at shooters ear are both better with the OG compared to the harvester evo.

Your videos don't show the Harvester Evo on anything but a 223, and because cell phone audio isn't great for these things, I can't tell a difference between the Scythe, Evo and OG on a 223. There was a difference in the 6.5C though.

I will be doing that in the next week or two. My friend has a SAUM with a harvester also so we can do a test. We have a range that goes out to 1400 yds that is in more open country it's just been too wet to get in but it has been drying out lately.

Those are all fair points. I agree cell phone audio is not ideal but it’s all I’ve got. I can try to shoot it to compare on 6.5C or 308 next time I’m out if you like. The reason I only shot it on 223 is I honestly don’t like it on anything bigger without wearing ear pro because it’s got a very harsh crack that I find painful. So for the range with ear pro it’s okay but I didn’t like using it to hunt with my 6.5C.

I think the simple answer is if you like your harvester Evo, especially on larger rifles, then you will LOVE the OG since it’s better in every way. Lighter, quieter, better balance, less length in front of muzzle.
