Unknown suppressors OG testing

Shooting with a friend today who really wanted to see/hear the UM OG. I filmed a few shots to compare. Very windy and again, capturing sound with a cell phone but I thought some may be interested. I did my best to stand in same spot for each rifle, it’s interesting hearing them from a ways away vs being the shooter.

Here’s the 3 rifles/setups in the videos:
- 308, 20” barrel with UM OG
- 243, 20” barrel with Banish 30 in 7” configuration
- 6.5 Creedmore, 18” with Scythe Ti with 6mm end cap.

I know it would be best to use same rifle for every can but we didn’t have time to play musical cans and so just shot them as they’re set up to hunt.

Both of us felt the 243 was the quietest but only slightly better. It should be, it’s wearing a large 7” can. The scythe and UM OG had about the same volume but the OG sounded more “empty” or “hollow” in a good way. As if the sound volume was similar but the character of the sound was less harsh to the ear with the OG.

We both felt the rifles were more handy and balanced better with the OG. My friend hopes to order an OG of his own when funds allow.

On the AB raptor the 1” reflex has less volume than the .75, b/c circumference is same. It’s the opposite on the OG, the OG L’s reflex kept the same thickness of reflex and gave it more Circumference. So OG L has more volume, not sure how significant
Not to be a complete nerd, but I believe you are correct. Given the current specs we know for the OG and OG L (4” reflex for both, .75” barrel channel and 1.55” OD for the OG, and 1” barrel channel with ~1.8” OD for the OG L), the volume of the reflex sections are as follows:

OG: 5.78 cubic inches
OG L: 7.04 cubic inches

The OG L should have roughly 1.26 cu. in. more volume in the reflex section than the OG. If we add in the remaining volume (assuming ovarial lengths aren’t different), we get the following total volumes:

OG: 13.04 cubic inches
OG L: 16.94 cubic inches

So a total difference of 3.9 cubic inches of volume between the two. Again, this is assuming a lot, but just to get a rough idea. Also not sure how significant this is in terms of suppressor volumes - maybe someone else can speak to that.

OG and Banish 30 Gold side by side comparison. OG on the orange camo 6 PRC and the Gold on black camo 6.5 PRC, both 22" barrels. All are consecutive shots, just cut the video to quickly alternate between the two for the best comparison. To my ear the Gold was quieter but they are very close. The OG was impressive for 4" in front of the barrel. Definately meets the design criteria.

I just had the chance to run 300 ish rounds of 223 through five Suppressors next to the OG (banish backcountry, cgs hyperion k, banish 30, a 9 inch lane, and a kovix 6" 30 cal.) To our ears the 9 inch cans obviously sounded best followed by the hyperion k, og, backcountry, and lastly kovix.

I got my e-form submitted today as well. If I am lucky, I will be able to test it out on the 30th.

Waiting to get the call to certify. I did put eyes on it briefly when it came in. Can't wait.

Hopefully it'll get approved before the end of next week and I'll take it up to the Panhandle with me to do some testing.

Thanks. I searched but didn't see it in other threads.
I'm 1388, so hopefully soon.
1389 here, I was told when I added an adapter they were waiting on my form 3 to be accepted. Which should be today or Monday and it would be shipped the following day.
