Sorry a bit off optic but how do you keep your harvester at 11 oz? I’ve shot a few thousand rounds through mine and it’s up near 14 ounces now

Have you ever cleaned it?

You might need to clean that thing!
My buddy is about to release a suppressor cleaner to the market. I am pumped about it!
There are other systems (CLR, and high frequency cleaners and such). But if your suppressor is that much heavier... it might benefit from some colon cleanse!
Yes, it uses a ph neutral solvent that does not damage gaskets or bushings.I deleted insta a while ago because I was wasting too much time on there haha. Does his use solvents?

Both were around the oddly balmy December 26 air temperature of 80 degrees to begin. I fired four shots fairly quick, within 15-20 seconds. The OG65 measured 176 degrees and the Airlock 6.5 234 degrees.
The airlock seemed a tad bit quieter.
I observed more heat mirage from the OG65 despite it measuring 58 degrees cooler. That didn’t make sense. I switched them back for two more shots each just to listen again.
The difference in sound suppression between the two is really negligible, but if pressed to chose, I’d say the Airlock is quieter.
Again the Airlock was hotter (189 vs. 141) Again I saw more mirage in my scope with the OG. Somebody smarter than me will have to figure that one out. Both will end up wearing covers which should mitigate any issues on that front for my use. I’m looking for recommendations on those if you fellows want to help me out.
I bet that’s it, it seems like the longer the barrel the less mirage you see and the OG would basically be like a 3.5”-4” shorter barrel.Could it be the OG goes over the barrel and the hot surface is closer to the objective of the scope vs an out front can? Just a thought.
The back of an OG dosnt get all that hotCould it be the OG goes over the barrel and the hot surface is closer to the objective of the scope vs an out front can? Just a thought.
So the bottom line it appears from all the comparison threads coming out lately that Airlock is reigning supreme from a sound perspective, but also achieving that with a from factor advantage. That’s pretty impressive.

Form factor advantage?
Smaller and lighterForm factor advantage?

Absolutely. It’s smaller, lighter, throws off less mirage, and will thread onto anything with 5/8 threads regardless of it’s adapter diameter.
That’s what logic tells me I should have observed, but my eyes did not. Twice. The difference was just as obvious to me just in the opposite direction. Once I get these adapters sorted I’ll do another SxS comparison, on separate guns that are the same. What I observed was while switching the cans back and forth on the same gun, so the barrel temp changing etc could have influenced things.I didn’t observe less mirage when I fired them - with or without suppressor cover. The ZG started showing mirage about twice as fast as the OG.
