Unit 39 Elk and Deer

Hey Everyone, I wanted to get some insight on elevations others hunt at in 39 and see some game? I've hunted unit 39 since i was 11 with my grandfather (I'm currently 28). The area I normally hunt is between 4-5000ft. I'm lucky to see 1 buck every season and a handful of does and there's usually at least one small group of elk hanging around (yes I get off my ass, walk and stay off the main trails). I have a few new areas I've been scouting this summer between 6500-8000ft. Any recommendations / suggestions on this would be appreciated!
