Planning a last minute hunt for a guy that has never hunted before and figured an antelope hunt would be a great introduction. We are looking at the tags that are leftover and have narrowed it down to unit 19 and 3. I spoke with a game warden in Gillette and he said there are almost no antelope in the Burnt Hollow Recreation area, that is most of the public land in 19. I spoke with a guy that runs a campground near the keyhole reservoir in unit 3 and he says there are a ton of antelope around there, but he has a vested interest in me coming out there. We would both be happy just taking a couple does and are not looking for a some secret spot. From the OnX Maps it looks like there is some public land on the north side of the lake that is only accessible by a hike, not sure if that area is worth our time but hopefully someone on this forum has some insight. I would be happy to trade some intel for a fishing trip down here in Florida.
